Bulletin – COVID-19 Update
by Rick Tadrick
At The Plaintiff Law Group (TPLG), we are committed to helping our clients and those injured through defective products and pharmaceuticals. Today we’re sharing what we’re doing to ensure your legal operations continue running smoothly.
In an effort to reduce rates of transmission of the virus, our offices implemented a temporary remote working program. Although we won’t all be physically present in our offices, as a virtual law firm, we were already in an optimized position to ensure our ability to seamlessly support our clients, while protecting our employees’ health and well-being, along with
supporting our communities’ efforts to implement social distancing.
We have tested our remote access tools, and our business continuity procedures are in place to ensure our business operations remain fully functional. We believe taking this step will keep our people safe while maximizing our ability to service our clients’ needs without interruption.
For clients and others outside our offices, there should be no noticeable difference in access to our staff and the services we routinely provide. Our lawyers and staff are fully prepared to work remotely accessing systems with the same levels of security and file/resource availability as they would from the office.
We assure you that we are continuously working on your case, but do expect there to be some interruptions or delays in service from the companies that we work with regarding your file as they implement their own preventative & remote procedures. This is particularly true with obtaining medical records.
While the process of obtaining medical records in the past has averaged 30-90 days, we anticipate longer processing times due to medical facilities focused on the current medical crisis.
However, we have spoken with representatives of the largest national copy services, and they have assured us that they are establishing procedures to keep the record retrieval process ongoing.
Should you need anything at all, we are available through all normal channels and will continue to provide you with the highest quality service you have come to expect from TPLG. As we anticipate an increase in call volume and questions, we encourage you to contact us primarily through electronic means such as e-mail and text. Our case management software allows us to text with each of our clients directly through their case files.
Therefore, each client has a unique firm text number that keeps your information private, as well as your case file updated with any of the associated communication.
If I have not already provided you with your individual text number, please send me an e-mail, and I will be happy to provide you with that information. As always, you are encouraged to communicate with us via e-mail. We ask that you reach out directly to me or Reeva Pierre, as we are coordinating this communication channel. Our e-mail addresses are listed below.
Should we not be able to assist you with a particular matter, we will make sure to get your e-mail to the appropriate party so you may get your questions or concerns addressed properly. You may still reach us at our toll-free office line (833-843-8754) as this is a VoIP service, meaning that it is a cloud-based internet phone system that will reach us at all remote locations.
As always, your success and ours are one-in-the-same, and we always strive to keep all of our interests in mind. The Coronavirus spread is of serious concern to us all. It will change the way we all live for at least a little while. We’re keeping a close eye on the latest news about the Coronavirus from the CDC at cdc.gov. If there are any impacts to our business that would affect our clients, we will keep you informed.
